Crofton real estate has unique characteristics. As Crofton realtors, our team has experience with this town, having lived in the Cowichan Valley most of their lives.
About Crofton
Crofton is a small community nestled against the shoreline of Osborne Bay. Historically Crofton has been a smelting centre, home to fishing operations and more recently the Crofton Mill as the predominant economic generator for the town.
Crofton is located 70 minutes north of Victoria, 40 minutes south of Nanaimo, and 18 minutes north of Duncan. Crofton also provides ferry access to pretty Salt Spring Island via Vesuvius Bay.
Crofton has some great hikes – especially the hike around Crofton Lake and along the Crofton Seawalk. It is a small town with a wonderful ‘homey’ feel where everybody knows your name.
Crofton offers an Elementary school.

In Closing
I love the Crofton Seawalk – the smell of fresh salt air, the sound of the waves on the shoreline and watching the birds foraging through the sand and pebbles. There is an excellent boat launch that is used by ‘those in the know’ to access crabbing, prawning and fishing hotspots. The Osborne Bay Pub has live music and great dinner specials – worth checking out on a Friday night! - David Lowes
